As an independent, community based and community supported genetic counseling program, we rely on support from grants and donors like you.

• Our genetics program provides comprehensive genetic counseling and genetic testing coordination.
• We actively provide medical professional education and many public lectures across the region.
• For over 40 years, we are proud to have created a community of medical providers that depend on our services in 30 counties of upstate NY.

In recent years, we are facing new challenges, needs and opportunities. We are doing more with a lot less. We are committed to assuring that families have the most current information and access to new genetic testing options for cancer and heart disease. At the same time, we are continuing our services in prenatal/preconception genetic counseling.

The Ferre Genetic Counseling Program is part of a 501(c)3 not for profit organization. We are funded in part by a federal grant, administered through the New York Mid-Atlantic Caribbean (NYMAC) regional genetics network, that supports our telemedicine efforts, and by private donations.
